I Am Global Academy uses the power of learning and relationships to fuel the futures of individuals who are impacted by social oppression—primarily those coming from human trafficking contexts. With a personalized virtual tutoring service, we come alongside local partners doing the work on the ground to provide the gift of reading, writing, and speaking English. We form ongoing relationships that help build learners' confidence and improve their English so they can:

HISTORY
We were incubated in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2014, as a response to a request from local partners in Kolkata - Mahima. Founded by a group collaborative with Don Gerred, an attorney with the Kolkata Field Office of International Justice Mission (IJM), we saw the opportunity to help learners improve their English to build confidence and prepare for a successful future. In response to COVID-19, we re-imagined and designed innovative ways to closely serve our learners and partners. Outside of the COVID-19 pandemic era, we annually visit our partners and learners to create immersive learning and relationship-building experiences.
